Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using SlideCompanion. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
By accessing or using SlideCompanion ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
SlideCompanion is a suite of web-based tools designed to help presenters, designers, and event professionals work more efficiently with PowerPoint files and live presentation environments. Our tools include:
The Service is provided on a subscription basis for PowerPoint automation tools. Live event tools (IconGenerator, Speaker-Timer, TeamScore) are free to use without a subscription.
To use the PowerPoint automation tools, you must create a free account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
New registered users receive a 24-hour free trial with access to all six PowerPoint automation tools, limited to 10 uses per tool during the trial period. No credit card is required to start a trial.
After the trial period, continued use of the PowerPoint automation tools requires a paid subscription. We currently offer monthly ($25/month) and yearly ($75/year) plans. Subscribers receive up to 25 uses per tool per day.
Billing is handled through our third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All fees are non-refundable except as described in our refund policy or required by applicable law.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access through the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time unless we determine otherwise at our discretion.
You retain full ownership of all files, scripts, data, and content you upload or input into the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant SlideCompanion a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing you with the requested output.
Important: SlideCompanion does not permanently store your uploaded files (PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, images) beyond what is strictly necessary to generate your output during an active session. Generated output files are also not retained after download.

Some features of SlideCompanion use artificial intelligence to generate content (including text, images, and icons). You acknowledge that:
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by SlideCompanion and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights to you beyond the limited license to use the Service as described herein.
The Service may integrate with or rely upon third-party services (including AI providers and payment processors). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SLIDECOMPANION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SlideCompanion and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes via email or a notice within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will cease immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 8, 10, 11, 12) will survive.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the applicable jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in that jurisdiction.
